On the Parisian clay of Roland Garros, Aryna Sabalenka arrived as the undisputed world No. 1, armed with a lethal baseline game and unmistakable intensity. Yet at this year’s French Open, it was not just the relentless competitor with the roaring tiger tattoo that held attention. It was her nearly $100,000 worth of Material Good jewelry, for which she is the face, sparkling against her Nike kit. The 28-year-old tennis player turned heads at Roland-Garros with strings laced with more than 223 carats of diamonds and garnets. The Belarusian star looked breathtaking, combining talent, speed, style, ambition, and serious caratage in one game.

The real treat was her look, featuring three bold layered necklaces designed to stack seamlessly and move with her throughout the match. The details were even more fascinating. Inspired by the deep crimson tones of the Roland Garros clay courts, the suite featured an attractive mix of garnets and diamonds in different stone shapes. Designed by Material Good’s head of design, Atara LeV Katherine Lev, the set was completed with coordinating earrings featuring the same rich gems.

The two necklaces and matching earrings included 15.6 carats of diamonds and 136.5 carats of garnets. With that much sparkle on court, security naturally became part of the story. The four-time Grand Slam winner revealed that her entrepreneur fiancé, Georgios Frangulis, helps keep the jewels safe. She shared with Daily Mail, “He’s kind of like my security. I have my team. I have Jason (Stacy, her performance coach) and my physio who does Jujitsu, so I feel pretty secure walking around. If I go somewhere, I don’t go alone.”

In March, Frangulis proposed with a stunning 12-carat oval-cut diamond ring surrounded by emeralds, Sabalenka’s favorite gemstone. The ring is estimated to be worth around $1 million further amping up her overall dazzle.
