Were you just counting down the days for the latest Halo? Well, you’re in luck! After much enthusiasm, Halo 5: Guardians has at last hit the charts. Game stores globally witnessed quite a stir at midnight as they opened their doors to galore passionate gamers. Of course, Master Chief – the main protagonist – is dominating the screen on the Xbox as usual.
When Taiwanese cosplayer Hsu Chia-Hao and Australian designer Jenny Manik Mercian – the latter of whom has worked with the likes of Victoria’s Secret, Beyoncé and Gisele Bündchen – team up to rebuild Master Chief’s helmet, one cannot be all that amused to discover a helmet crafted with 25,000 Swarovski crystals. And why this; well, the 5 kg masterpiece was done for the Make A Wish Foundation and is currently up for auction on eBay, with all proceeds going to the charity.
We hear the helmet is priced at around $500 but we suggest you start bidding considering there are 8 days to go, and the demand is bizarre. Of course, the additional $200 shipping fee from Taiwan adds to it.
