When it comes to Saudi Arabia, money is never a matter which explains why an affluent businessman didn’t bat an eyelid at a staggering $2.6 million VIP ticket to watch Cristiano Ronaldo play Lionel Messi’s PSG in Riyadh. The most expensive football ticket ever sold will allow the mega fan to witness Ronaldo captain a Saudi All-Star XI team against PSG in their friendly match on Thursday. The game is iconic as it will mark Ronaldo’s first appearance since moving to Saudi Arabia and joining the Al-Nassr club.

Even so, the $2.6 million seems like an eye-watering amount but not for businessman Mushref Al-Ghamdi, the general manager of real estate group AqarOne, who won the bid for what was dubbed the “Beyond Imagination” ticket. In addition to getting an enviable seat next to the GEA chairman at Paris Saint-Germain’s friendly match, Al-Ghamdi will attend the opening ceremony and meet Ronaldo and Messi as well as the rgentine’s fellow PSG stars Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappé.
