This “Top Gun: Maverick” flight simulator will let you fly an F-35 jet and carry out hair-raising missions seen in the blockbuster movie

Are you one of those people who loved the Top Gun: Maverick movie so much that they can’t stop fantasizing about flying a fighter jet and carrying out adrenaline-pumping maneuvers? If the answer is yes then this is definitely for you! Thanks to the massive success of the Tom Cruise-starter Hollywood movie, a UK-based flight simulator company has come up with a Top Gun-inspired package that will allow fans to conduct the same missions seen in the blockbuster movie. The company named Vantage Simulations is based at Little Gransden Airfield in Bedfordshire, UK, and is offering the bespoke experience that allows one to virtually fly an F-35B Lightning II fighter jet.

You can try the famous Maverick Dagger One mission.

“Having watched the epic adventures of Maverick and Rooster, we wanted to know how it would feel to actually fly those missions,” Adam Clements from the flight simulator company told Robb Report. “So, using our state-of-the-art simulator, we carefully recreated the experiences to be as realistic as possible while still following the Hollywood story.”

By paying a small fee of £99.00 (approx. $117), you’ll get a 60-minute experience of operating a simulator and feel like Pete “Maverick” Mitchell. The hour will be split into conducting two missions seen in the movie. The simulator’s cockpit includes HOTAS (Hands On Throttle and Stick) flight controls, a 22-inch touchscreen panel, and landing gear and STOVL (short take-off and vertical-landing) buttons. The simulator is equipped with three 1080p HD projectors displaying images on a curved screen for a truly immersive experience. The company also uses Lockheed Martin’s own software for the F-35 flight dynamics, VRS TackPac for weapon systems, and Orbx for realistic scenery. The minimum age is 10 years old, while up to four spectators are allowed.
