Bill Gates’s former Florida mansion is back on the market, with a dock, heated indoor pool, smart tech, and even a private bar in the bedroom, yes, with its own ice machine!

A South Florida estate once owned by Bill Gates is back on the market, this time with a $23.5 million price tag. Located on exclusive Jupiter Island, the mansion was sold in 2018 to businessman John Textor and has now reemerged, promising luxurious waterfront living infused with subtle traces of Gates’s tech-savvy legacy.

Though it’s been out of Gates’s shadow for more than five years, there’s still a distinct touch of his personality woven into the property, just as his famed Washington estate, Xanadu 2.0, embodies the Microsoft co-founder in bricks and code. With 200 feet of pristine Intracoastal Waterway frontage and no neighbors on three sides, this 9,458-square-foot estate is every bit the private paradise.

Boaters will especially appreciate the home’s private dock, which includes a 30,000-pound boat lift and a solar-lit slip. Gates originally purchased the property in 2009 for $5 million but sold it at a loss just a year later for $4 million. Now, one of the few properties on Jupiter Island commanding over $20 million, it presents a tidy profit opportunity for Textor, current chairman of Eagle Football Holdings Limited.

But the appeal of the home extends far beyond its famous past. The mansion is filled with high-tech comforts and luxurious touches, including a heated indoor pool and spa, a gourmet kitchen fitted with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, a double Thermador oven, and dual dishwashers. The master suite is especially indulgent, featuring a private bar with an ice machine, dual spa-style bathrooms, separate closets, and even an under-sink refrigerator.

The indoor pool area feels like a cozy retreat with its warm wood-paneled ceiling and direct access to the backyard. Soaring ceilings, marble floors, and classic crown moldings enhance the open floor plan, while a vast patio with a full outdoor kitchen makes for an ideal spot to host breezy evening gatherings, a serene blend of social life and nature.

In true Gates fashion, the home is equipped with a whole-home speaker system, Lutron lighting, and fully integrated smart home features. Tech meets tranquility here, but there’s also space for practical needs. The estate includes a home office, an eight-car garage, an EV charging station, a mosquito control system, and meticulously maintained platinum paspalum landscaping.
