From indulging in a rolled gold facial and body treatment journey to a sojourn of pearls and caviar, I could safely say that I have tried the most opulent beauty treatments in UAE. The United Arab Emirates is renowned for its excess, and I love that about it. But that means cut-throat competition for the beauty industry. For a salon/spa to stand out, here, they really have to make a mark. That said, I recently tried the new entrant-Beauty Garden at JLT.
Located in cluster Q of Jumeirah Lakes Tower (JLT), the interiors definitely are a draw.
The salon’s reception adorns a vertical green wall that looks so appealing on the eyes and true that women do not go to the salon only to get beauty services. Still, it is also an escape from everyday life for many of us, and this place gives out a total fairytale vibe.
The color scheme is a well-toned mix of black, natural-colored wooden, and golden hues with another vertical green wall inside the salon- the Instagram-worthy spot here.
Facing the beautiful JLT garden, the salon space is divided into a nail section, two facial rooms, two comfortable mani-pedi stations, four hair service stations, and two hair wash stations with comfortable recliner seats. The salon uses all toxin-free products, and I do give brownie points for that.
I have suggested a facial and hair treatment. As for the hair, I was recommended the Detox Mud treatment- the perfect respite if pollutants stress your hair. The clay mud mask by Alfaparf is used-something I have used at home numerous times and totally swear by. I loved how it dried upright on my hair and gave me a feeling of freshness and purity. Ingredients like kaolin and activated provide a perfect detox effect because of their ability to absorb toxic substances, which is another highlight. All products used had a great effect, especially the nourishing masque that the treatment is finished off with. It definitely does a thing or two regarding nourishing and restoring the lost sheen in your hair if that is what you are after.
Next, I tried the Skin revitalization facial, which was performed using Dermalogica products. My aesthetician here was lovely and spoke to me through the process. My skin is susceptible, and I am extremely wary of trying facial treatments, but this one, I was told, helps increase collagen production and elasticity. It started with two stages of cleansing. What’s good is that the cleaning process is intensified by the use of an ultrasound skin scrubber. A special steaming solution is then applied to open pores. This is followed by microdermabrasion, wherein a suction device with a diamond-crusted tip helped resurface the skin and get rid of blemishes. I like how it was complemented by gentle manual extractions (they didn’t hurt as much too). Post this, a post-extraction solution and calming mist were applied to soothe my skin.
A face masque is then applied, and an ultrasonic device is used to help nutrients penetrate the skin. This is followed by a face massage performed, and a radio frequency device was used to tighten my skin’s muscles. LED masque is then used to reduce pigmentation. One of the closing steps in the cold hammer is applied to close the skin pores. The facial was finished by applying eye cream, lip cream, face cream, and SPF. I like how extensive the facial was and will leave your skin smoother, tighter, firmer, and healthier. The Beauty Garden has several treatments on offer that will leave you spoilt for choice, an Instagram-worthy interior to go with it, and experienced staff to deliver services that tick the right boxes and ensure that you have your pamper day.
