This eerie-looking car graveyard could very well be one of the most depressing places on this planet; it almost looks like a film set from the zombie movie I Am Legend. Sam Lucas, an Australian YouTuber living in Japan, recently uploaded a video of what he calls Japan’s biggest car graveyard. It’s nothing like the massive graveyards in Dubai full of dust-covered supercars and other exotic. In the 27-minute-long video, Sam and his friend Daiki can be seen exploring the site and discovering a big collection of abandoned cars buried under the undergrowth of a former rice field. Sam starts the video by claiming he visited the car graveyard previously but could not access the vehicles as they were submerged in the water that floods such rice fields.

The YouTuber didn’t reveal the exact location of the graveyard in Japan, except for stating that it’s not Fukushima. The first thing the duo notices is a Corvette C3 is rotting away in the open with its roof collapsed, and its hood ripped off. However, they soon realize that the property is littered with many abandoned C3s. Probably, it’s the place where all the classic Corvettes come to die in Japan.

Chevrolet produced the third generation of the Corvette sports car between 1967 and 1982. After finding a few more Vettes covered in foliage, Sam finds a completely rusted metal structure with two more examples of the American sports car hoisted on it.

Navigating through shrubs, tall grass, and discarded household items, Sam finds out that what appeared like small hills from a distance were actually piles of junk cars and car parts, along with scrap metal and other things. Most of the cars are mangled and rusted beyond recognition. Even the thick undergrowth makes it almost impossible to make the cars rotting away at the site. The YouTuber then stumbles upon a section of the graveyard that looks like an old, abandoned workshop. He even finds the shell of an old Datsun Z under a busted car lift.

The Aussie gets most excited when he comes across an A70 Toyota Supra, flattened and upside down. Covered in shrubs, Sam only recognizes it to be a Supra, thanks to the taillights. Almost all the cars in the graveyard are beyond repair, which is an absolute shame as there are some really interesting vehicles that could be worth a lot of money if they could have been salvaged. The YouTuber thinks the abandoned cars could actually be stolen vehicles. He also says that the site was “reclaimed government property” and that it is a known location for “illegal dumping.”
