2013 Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 FL2

Lamborghini is returning to the world of racing with a bang; its in the house race team, Lamborghini Squadra Corse will race the new Gallardo GT3 FL2. This project will be collaborating with Reiter Engineering; Reiter has previously developed its own Lamborghini GT cars and secured several victories with them. However, this will be the first time there is a direct collaboration between the two companies. The Gallardo GT3 FL2 will be competing in motor-sports series such as the Italian GT3 championships; additional series will be announced later in the year, including races in the US. The car has been built to compete in long-distance races and thus has more enduring ’24 – hour’ brakes, improves engine cooling, and reduced fuel consumption. In fact, the Gallardo GT3 FL2 has exceptionally low running costs.

The agreement between the two companies will last a minimum of five years and will concentrate on racing in Europe and Asia in 2013 to expand to the USA in 2014. The Gallardo GT3 FL2 is set to cost around $430,000 plus taxes, with first deliveries expected to start in March 2013.
