The most thrilling chapter of any dazzling superyacht’s journey is the sea trial, and Feadship’s Project 1012 is no exception. This luxury vessel, now proudly bearing the name Drizzle, is currently making waves as it undergoes rigorous sea trials. With her AIS registered and all systems go, Drizzle is on course for a grand debut, scheduled for delivery in July 2024.
Images shared by Feadship unveiled the glorious 301-footer, believed to be Zara billionaire Amancio Ortega’s pleasure craft, worth $111 billion, departing from the shipyard’s facilities in Amsterdam on June 13. The tycoon previously owned a smaller 220-foot Feadship tri-deck luxury vessel by the same name, which confirms the ownership of this new pleasure craft. The smaller Drizzle yacht was listed for an asking price of $69.5 million with Hamilton Marine International’s Jonathan Syrett.
The new and lavish Drizzle yacht is a testament to understated luxury, taking inspiration from its predecessor with its use of light-hued natural materials and finishes throughout. Drizzle boasts a dynamic design with a magnificent beach club spanning one-quarter of the total length of the lower deck.
There is an abundance of space for recreation and relaxation, including a large pool and alfresco areas. Drizzle pampers all guests on the main deck aft, offering uninterrupted views, while reserving the most exclusive upper deck for the owner, who enjoys a privileged vantage point from the opulent Master stateroom.
The ship is poised to set new standards, not just for its opulent decor and amenities, but for being the first Feadship with full Hybrid Electric Class notation. This groundbreaking achievement is the result of cutting-edge Feadship technology, leading to a remarkable propulsion plant and onboard energy management system.
Drizzle will be equipped with an impressive array of toys and tenders, and a power package comprising two main engines and shaft-driven fixed pitch propellers, coupled with electric motors of 560kW each and 1MW of Li-ion batteries, further demonstrating its technological superiority.
