When you bring the suave of Aston Martin to the brute performance dynamics of Red Bull Racing, you know that there’s going to be something special in-store. This is just what we’ve got before us in the form of the AM-RB 001 hypercar. The car’s highly innovative design makes it one of the most refreshing unveilings we have seen in a long time. Muscled up and rigged with state-of-the-art underbody aerodynamics, the car is a sure addition to many wishlists.
The three geniuses behind the becoming of this extremely eye-catching machine are Red Bull Racing’s Chief Technical Officer, Adrian Newey, Aston Martin’s EVP and Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman, and VP and Chief Special Operations Officer David King. While the gentlemen focus on making the AM-RB 001 a road car before it hits the track, the lightweight carbon fiber build ensures that thing downforce level is unseen or unheard of in many road-cars.
The bespoke machine that will drive the car will make the car the world’s fastest production car. What’s surprising is that even though this will be a limited edition run, there will be as many as 150 examples zipping through our streets.
“I’ve long harbored the desire to design a road car,” commented Newey. “I’ve always been adamant that the AM-RB 001 should be a true road car that’s also capable of extreme performance on the track, and this means it really has to be a car of two characters.
