Dreame, famous for sending little robots under sofas, has apparently decided floors are boring and 3,111-horsepower hypercars are the future, with Kosmera concepts that look equal parts Bugatti, Porsche, and PlayStation fever dream machine now.

Dreame makes vacuum cleaners. Really powerful ones, apparently, because the Chinese tech company has now decided to branch out into building some of the most powerful hypercar motors the world has ever seen, with claims to out-Bugatti Molsheim. Its new automotive brand, Kosmera, debuted at CES earlier this year with two hypercar concepts called the Star Matrix and Star Razer. But what’s going to be powering them is now taking centerstage, because the claims are far beyond what was said at unveiling, and anything you’ve seen so far: 3,111 horsepower.

The key is a new axial-flux electric motor, developed by Kosmera’s in-house Axion Power division. Each carbon-fibre reinforced compact motor reportedly fits inside a standard 20-inch carry-on suitcase. A pair of these motors will be packaged as a dual-motor axle, one at the front and one at the rear for a total of four motors.

Each of these modules produce 1,555 hp, and peak power output could stand at the frankly ridiculous headline figure. With a 1,200-volt architecture, expect blazing quick charge speeds as well. If Kosmera actually hits those numbers, these sedans would become the most powerful production electric cars in the world, outdoing even BYD’s Yangwang U9 Xtreme with its claimed 2,978 hp.

Coming to the cars themselves, the Star Matrix is the more traditional of the two, though that’s still quite an overstatement. It wears a massive horseshoe grille, plenty of carbon fiber aero pieces, bejewelled-like LED headlights, and overall styling cues reminiscent of the one-off Bugatti Brouillard.

In profile, it resembles Porsche’s electric Taycan. Meanwhile, the Star Razer brings more Bugatti resemblance to the table, just at the rear. With a rear-end design that’s similar to the Chiron, and otherwise futuristic, if slightly generic, styling, the Star Razer looks like it would be right at home in GTA5. Butterfly doors for both front and rear passengers rounds out the video game-inspired look. The company had also showed off the Nebula Next 01 at CES 2026, another electric hypercar concept with a mishmash of boutique hypercar styling cues, also rocking four doors.

Importantly, these cars were claimed to be putting out 1,903 horsepower from four electric motors when we first saw them. Now, a little over six months later, that number has grown to over 3,000 horsepower. Whether or not the company can realize the dream remains to be seen, but if it does, the title of the fastest EV in the world just may belong a vacuum cleaner company that dared to push the boundaries.
