Fiat has collaborated with Giorgio Armani on a limited edition Fiat 500e to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Italian automaker

Founded on July 11th, 1899, Fiat is one of the longest-operating automobile manufacturers in the world. To celebrate its 125th anniversary, the Italian marque organized the “Smiling to the Future” event at its headquarters in Turin, Italy. The grand ceremony paid tribute to the brand’s rich history and celebrated the beginning of a new chapter. The highlight of the anniversary celebrations was the world premiere of a new special edition Fiat 500e created in collaboration with Iconic Italian fashion brand Giorgio Armani. Described as the “ultimate expression of Made in Italy,” the Fiat 500e Giorgio Armani combines Italian excellence with eco-sustainability. The limited edition comes a little more than a month after the manufacturer revealed the 500e “Inspired By Los Angeles” model that features special touches influenced by the iconic West Coast American metropolis.

Interestingly, the anniversary celebrations coincided with Maestro Giorgio Armani’s birthday. Previously, the two legendary Italian brands collaborated in 2020 to introduce an exclusive, one-off 500e. According to the official release, the new limited edition is a “car to be worn, not driven.” Designers from Giorgio Armani worked closely with Fiat for months to push every single detail to perfection, distilling the essence of both brands into one special edition.

Produced at the Fiat Mirafiori plant in Turin, the 500e Giorgio Armani is exclusively available in a hatchback model, epitomizing Made in Italy and Italian excellence. The brands came up with two unique and exclusive colors for the limited edition model. The Dark Green Micinalised hue is said to be a “contemporary and technical color that firmly reflects Giorgio Armani’s style and taste,” while the Ceramic Greige color is described as a “sophisticated and refined shade invented by Armani that blends gray and beige to create both the color and name.” To give the special edition a pure and minimalistic look, which is in line with Armani’s style code, the contrasts and decorations were reduced, offering a more monochromatic effect.

The standout feature on the outside is the wheel design, which was exclusively created to represent a big-sized GA logo. On the inside, the cabin is meticulously crafted with the use of elegant and finest quality materials. The chevron stitching and three-dimensional patterns on the central seat inserts are a nod to classic tailoring techniques. The laser-cut wood for the dashboard insert is a piece of art. Armani’s logo appears on the wheels and seats, while his signature appears on the dashboard, interior door, and rear window. Furthermore, the limited edition comes equipped with a premium JBL audio system, a 7″ TFT Display, a 10.25″ Touch Screen NAV, DAB Radio, and Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the 500e Giorgio Armani is powered by a single electric motor with an output of 118 hp. It offers a range of up to 199 miles in the WLTP combined cycle and comes with the most advanced ADAS and Level 2 assisted driving system. While the pricing has not been revealed, Fiat says the limited-edition model will be sold in Europe, North America, the Middle East, Africa, Japan, and Australia starting next year.
