Swiss watchmakers Hublot and partnered with Bruce Lee Foundation to pay homage to the legendary Kung Fu star on his 75th birth anniversary. While the JeetKune Do martial arts form still inspires many today, Bruce Lee was also known for his amazing ability to blend in the Easter and Western worlds. The Foundation has been established by Linda Lee and Shannon Lee, his wife and daughter. The watch will be unleashed at the ‘Legend Never Dies: Bruce Lee 75th Anniversary Exhibition’, which will be held between 23rd and 29th November at Atrium II, Gateway Arcade, Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui.
The Spirit of Big Bang Bruce Lee limited edition watch embraces the design aesthetics of Hublot and the uniqueness and differentiating power that Bruce Lee had. It arrives in a tonneau case with yellow elements. The dragon on Lee’s desk has greatly inspired the design on the face of the watch. It will arrive with Hublot’s new movement HUB4700, a frequency of 5 Hz, 36,000 beats/hour, 278 parts, 31 gems, an automatic winding feature with 50 hours power reserve, and a skeletal dial that is visible through the sapphire, thanks to the anti-reflective treatment given to it.
Only 75 pieces of the Spirit of Big Bang Bruce Lee watch will be produced, each retailing for HKD 232,400 (USD 29,984).
