If there’s one thing the internet doesn’t tire of, it’s instant karma. Take the case of millionaire trader and YouTuber Alex Gonzalez, who was making a video documenting his $11 million car collection. In the video, Gonzalez tours his eclectic collection of cars, including his two Bugatti Chirons.
The influencer has not one but two Chiron hypercars, one being standard and one being the ultra-exclusive Chiron Pur Sport. While complaining about how a replacement key fob for this Chiron Pur Sport is over $25,000, he proceeds to try and flex about how aggressive the fixed rear wing on the car is by squatting on it. In the process, he breaks the carbon fiber rear wing, a mistake that’s no doubt going to cost him way more than the key he was complaining about.
The influencer says he’s paying about $70,000 a month to finance the Bugatti Pur Sport, versus the $50,000 a month for the regular Chiron. That makes sense considering Bugatti only made 60 Pur Sport units compared to the 500-unit run for all Chirons in total. The Pur Sport uses the same W16 engine as in the regular Chiron, with tweaked gearing and more downforce.
This means the Pur Sport has better acceleration but a lower top speed of 217mph versus the regular car’s 230mph top speed. Of course, with a broken rear wing, you can be sure this Pur Sport is not going to be cleared to go anywhere near that top speed safely.
In the video, the influencer talks about his two Bugattis and how they sound different and feel different. Well, he can also add that now one of them is likely to give him a six-figure service bill (on top of the astronomical running costs) to fix the carbon fiber wing he just broke. Take note, Pur Sport owners. The fixed rear wing doesn’t need you to add downforce to it, it does that all by itself.
