Florida woman crashed her $400,000 Rolls-Royce through the backyard into her neighbor’s $3 million sculpture

A 66-year-old woman drove a Rolls-Royce Dawn through the backyard of a home on Canterbury Lane in Palm Beach, Florida before the ultra-luxurious convertible ended up hanging off a five-foot-high sea wall. Interestingly, the Rolls-Royce Dawn, which can easily go for hundreds of thousands of dollars, wasn’t the most expensive casualty of the incident. According to multiple news reports, the woman knocked down a $3 million coral art sculpture with her Rolls-Royce when it traveled through the backyard. Police said the driver did not appear intoxicated at the scene of the incident and she had no memory for hours before the crash. The woman was promptly rescued by the paramedics and taken to the St. Mary’s Medical Center for evaluation. Thankfully, no other injuries were reported.

Photos released by police show the Rolls-Royce hanging off a seawall with its nose buried in the sand on the beach. The front end of the car appears to be significantly damaged, which is expected as the car crashed through the sculpture, a backyard fence, and finally plowed into the beach. However, the accident might have caused more damage to the convertible luxury coupe which is not visible in the pictures. The Rolls-Royce Dawn is a convertible version of the Wraith coupe that debuted at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. It is powered by a 6.6-liter V12 engine that produces up to 593hp and 620 lb-ft of torque. It had a starting price of $360,000 before being discontinued in the US in 2021.
