British car makers Jaguar is now offering luxury for their customers even before they step into the car. The Jaguar Land Rover wearable technology initiative has kicked off and has introduced a new addition to a suite that promises to enhance the comfort and luxury levels in the experience of their customers. The app is specially created for Android Wear and Apple Watches and offers the benefits of pre-setting the temperature of your car before you even step into it as well as starting the engine. You can also check the fuel levels of the car, the location of your ride and also lock and unlock your car.
The Android Wear app was introduced at the Wearable Technology Show 2016 as a part of the larger Jaguar Land Rover Digital and Connected Car Technologies. “This expansion of connectivity brings all the functionality of our Apple Watch app to Android devices and underlines Jaguar Land Rover’s dedication to its Connected Car Vision,” said Leon Hurst, Head of Digital and Connected Car, Product Marketing, Jaguar Land Rover.
The JLR Android Wear app will be available on all future models of Jaguar and Land Rover and will also be accommodated on previous models that come pre-fitted with InControl Remote or InControl Protect. The app will be available from Summer 2016.
