The rich YouTube influencers are at it again! This time around a pristine Ferrari supercar was subjected to abominable cruelty in the name of views and likes. Popular American YouTuber WhistlinDiesel, aka Cody, is known for pulling off crazy automotive stunts and manhandling exotic cars to create viral social media content. He’s the same guy who gained attention on YouTube a few months back for torturing a red-colored Mercedes-AMG G63 to test its durability and even dropping it through a house. But for his latest video, the YouTuber took his antics to a whole new level and go after the world’s most prestigious automotive brand. Titled “I bought a $400,000 Ferrari just to destroy it,” the video shows the influencer trying to kill a 2020 Ferrari F8 Tributo with just 3000 miles on the odometer by taking it through a series of off-road tests and toying around with the collectible supercar.

Ferrari is famous for historically being obsessed and even paranoid with its brand image and known for hitting itscustomers with lawsuits over the most trivial things. Remember Deadmau5 and hisPurrari? There’s a long list of such incidents where the Italian marque threatened celebrities with lawsuits or simply banned them from buying its cars. WhistlinDiesel’s latest video is aimed at ridiculing Ferrari for this behavior and a pretty open challenge to persecute him for abusing the F8 Tributo. In fact, the video begins with Cody and his friend joking about Ferrari’s paranoia with clear references to the Deadmau5 fiasco. He starts with breaking the key fob but moves onto much more destructive activities like shoving a water bottle through the front air scoop, drawing on the Ferrari logo with a Sharpie, and even jumping on the frunk. However, none of it seems as bad as what happens later to the $400,000 supercar.

Once he’s done toying around with the F8 inside the garage, Cody takes the Ferrari outside, pulling off wild donuts while revving the life out of its 3.9-liter V8. At one point he even jumps on the carbon fiber roof to test its strength. He then reverses the supercar into an off-road track and smashes through a fence, almost crashing into a Toyota Hilux. Things only get more gnarly from this point forward. He slides and drifts the rear-wheel-drive Ferrari on the dirt road, with small pebbles and stones destroying the expensive paintwork. He then drives it on grass-covered patches, even getting stuck in the mud which throws numerous warning codes. However, the F8 Tributo still seems to work perfectly.

The YouTuber later drives the car in a torrential downpour that clogs the front splitter and air vents with mud and branches. To get rid of them, Cody then washes the Ferrari with a pressure wash strong enough to strip the paint off the bodywork and even crack some of the less sturdy bits. But the YouTuber is still not done with the Ferrari. He brings it back into his garage where he puts it into a bubble car cover. But don’t be fooled into thinking that it’s for parking the Ferrari safely. Instead, the YouTuber then proceeds to throw heavy tools and ladders on it to check if the bubble cover can keep the Ferrari safe inside. Knowing Ferrari’s history, it will be interesting to see how the Italian marque reacts to this.
