Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV goes official; gains 50 more horses under the hood

Attention all the Lamborghini fans, this is the big-winged ‘Superveloce’ edition of Italian marquee’s V12 beast. The Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV has been finally announced ahead of its official debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. It was unveiled yesterday in front of an assembled media at the annual Volkswagen Auto Group night. To make the fast car even faster, Lamborghini revised the valve train and added a new four-exit exhaust with less backpressure. This has helped the engine to redline now at 8,500 rpm and a boost to 740 horsepower and 509 pound-feet of torque.

The shot from 0-125mph is an even more impressive 8.6 seconds and the top speed is now 217 mph. In terms of styling, the Lamborghini Aventador SV gets a new front bumper with aggressive front air intakes and a new body colored splitter bar. The door panels, side sills, fenders and new fixed rear wing are all made from the lightweight material, and the upgraded parts for the body reportedly increase downforce by 170 percent. On the inside, the cabin even features Lamborghini’s Carbon Skin fabric for the headliner. Additionally, the Lamborghini SV comes with magneto-rheological dampers, carbon-ceramic brakes and variable ratio electric power steering. It also gets forged centre-locking lightweight alloy wheels measuring 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear. Carbon ceramic brakes and Pirelli P Zero Corsa sports tires come as standard. The car will go on sale in spring this year at a starting price of 327,190 Euros ($365,000 approximately).
