Aston Martin billionaire boss Lawrence Stroll, who famously sold his 317-foot-long superyacht for a smaller vessel, is all set to take delivery of his secretive superyacht this year

Size doesn’t matter for Canadian billionaire and Aston Martin executive chairman Lawrence Stroll. The fashion mogul, who amassed his fortune through the sale of his shares in Michael Kors, has commissioned a new Feadship yacht. But unlike many billionaires who size up with each new vessel, Stroll (worth nearly $4 billion) is scaling down.

The 65-year-old previously owned the $200 million superyacht Faith, a 318-foot marvel. Now, he’s downsizing to a 259-foot Feadship masterpiece, Project 714. Shrouded in secrecy until recently, this striking vessel has just launched in Aalsmeer, The Netherlands. Though smaller than its predecessor, Project 714 promises to impress with its sleek proportions and commanding presence. The yacht is nearly complete and is expected to be delivered to its seasoned owner later this year.

A closer look at video footage from The Yacht Report reveals that Project 714 features five decks, a luxurious beach club aft with a swimming pool, and an elongated bow that could potentially serve as a helipad. Knowing Stroll’s refined taste, the interiors are expected to rival, if not surpass, those of Faith. After all, this is a man who once spent $27.5 million on a single vintage Ferrari, his latest floating palace is bound to be equally breathtaking.

As for Faith, Stroll, who also owns the Aston Martin Formula 1 team, had her crafted to reflect his love for high-end design and performance. Sold to fellow Canadian businessman Michael Latifi, the yacht has since been renamed Sophia. This luxury vessel boasts a glass-bottomed swimming pool, a helipad that doubles as a basketball court, a beach club, a gym, and a private movie theater.

Now, all eyes are on Project 714 as it nears completion. The 259-foot beauty was also spotted navigating the narrow locks and bridges of the Dutch countryside along the Oude Rijn River in Alphen aan den Rijn.
