We never tire of the moon’s glow, and the same goes for the Moonstone yacht, its beauty has only deepened after its transformation. The 260-footer, formerly known as Albatross, has been delivered by Damen Yachting following a major refit at their Vlissingen City yard. The refit was more like a rebirth, with a complete exterior and interior transformation in collaboration with London-based design studio Harrison Eidsgaard over the last 26 months. The vessel now boasts a brand-new transom and interior layout, a repaint, and a 7-metre extension.

The vessel now boasts a wealth of character, as the Sun Deck serves as a pleasant social space, featuring a bar where guests can mingle while enjoying the views. The bridge deck also got an enhancement in the form of a winter garden, making activities like dining, entertainment, and relaxation a tad bit better.

With the newly reconfigured layout, the Moonstone superyacht now boasts a beach club with a wellness centre, a large outdoor pool on the main deck, and an Owner’s Deck featuring a jacuzzi.

Go a few decks down, and the Lower Deck’s swim platform can be employed to access the water for swimming, water sports, or lounging by the sea. The 2,149GT Moonstone sleeps 12 guests in 6 cabins and accommodates 19 crew. The luxury vessel is owned by brothers Robert and Richard Sands, who serve as CEO and chairman of the board of publicly traded company Constellation Brands.

Constellation Brands is the top scorer in the high-end beer supplier category in the U.S. market. Some of the largest shareholders include Vanguard Group Inc., Berkshire Hathaway Inc., and BlackRock Inc. The company was founded by Marvin Sands and is currently led by his son, Richard, who joined the business in 1979 and started in the winemaking lab. The younger son of Marvin Sands is Robert Sands.

Together the men worked towards success, and by 1980, its annual sales topped $50 million. The company was renamed Constellation Brands in 2000 and has since acquired numerous companies, such as Robert Mondavi Wine and Svedka Vodka, along with the U.S. rights to Grupo Modelo beers, most notably Modelo and Corona.
