They say it pays to find humor in every situation, though it’s certainly hard to do so when your multi-million exotic car is in the middle of a pile-up on a mountain road. Though, with said accident having occurred near Pfunds, Austria, bordering Switzerland, it does give rise to the opportunity for some questionable puns.
The cars involved, as per a Reddit post — a $1.8 million McLaren Evla, a $5 million Ferrari LaFerrari, a $500,000 Ferrari 812 Superfast, and $400,000 Bentley Continental GTC — appear to have suffered minimal damage, with the exception of the gorgeous LaFerrari. Irony strikes again though, the LaFerrari is the most valuable hypercar of the bunch. Hopefully, the owner has the funds to return it to its previous glory.
The accident is believed to have been caused by the driver of the Ferrari 812 Superfast, who drove into the back of the LaFerrari, setting off the ugly chain reaction that resulted in the four exotics up against the wall of a mountain road. It appears the only cause of the accident is driver error, with the group having possibly not maintained a safe driving distance between each car.
It just goes to show that even a chill cruise can take a bad turn at the drop of a hat. This is all the more reason to pay attention to the road, especially when at the helm of a high-horsepower exotic.
