Pininfarina creates a head turning carbon fiber bicycle

Bicycling has turned into an activity that’s a lot more than just a route to fitness. Riding bicycles has now turned into a lifestyle of sorts, with more and more people ditching their gas-guzzling cars and motorcycles, to settle for a trendier, environment friendly and absolutely fantastic means to travel. Keeping that in mind, two Italian companies recently joined hands to create a one-of-a-kind bicycle, specially developed to make heads turned every time it zips by. Unveiled at Eurobike, the international bicycle trade fair in Germany, the De Rosa SK Pininfarina is a design-marvel. High-end bicycle manufacturer De Rosa and the car design firm Pininfarina are both known for their exceptionally unique creations.

The De Rosa SK Pininfarina sports a carbon fiber frame, made with the innovative inner mold tooling technology. Weighing in at just 6.5 kg, this bicycle uses Italian-made components and has been designed keeping aerodynamics in mind. The bicycle was subjected to wind-tunnel tests to reduce drag as much as possible. 3D printing techniques were also used in order to assure frame rigidity. The Campagnolo Super Record EPS electronic groupset and the Vittoria Corsa SR inner tubes add to this bike’s specs. Simply put, the De Rosa SK Pininfarina is perhaps one of the very best to chose from in the bicycling world!
