A Pennsylvania court has fined a reckless Youtuber $53,000 for jumping his Ram TRX over a creek and damaging the ecosystem

If you are one of those who hate rich influencers pulling off ridiculous stunts in the name of likes and subscribes, this piece of news might give you some satisfaction. Remember the YouTuber called Street Speed 717 who jumped his brand new Ram 1500 TRX over a creek in Pennsylvania? Shortly after his video went viral earlier this year, he was charged with 18 criminal counts, including disturbance of waterways and watersheds, misuse of property and waters, and littering and polluting waters. Well, it didn’t stop the young YouTuber who goes by the name Michael Hyssong. In fact, right after he was served the legal notice, he did something crazier by jumping a Lamborghini Urus over an Aventador.

Guess what? A Pennsylvania court has found Michael Hyssong is guilty of damaging public property and has ordered the YouTuber to pay $53,000 in restitution. “I had no idea it was illegal to drive through a creek,” Hyssong told the York Daily Record. “I’m an outdoors guy. I hike and I’ve never even littered in my life. I’m not the type to destroy natural resources.” Although the creek over which Hyssong jumped the truck is located inside his family property, all “legally navigable” streams and rivers are considered public property in the Keystone state. Hyssong was represented by Brian Perry, the lawyer who defended Bill Cosby in his successful rape conviction appeal. “[Hyssong’s] looking forward to putting this behind him,” Perry told the York Daily Record. Hyssong will also have to successfully complete a public service program in a year to wipe this blotch from his record.
