It seems not even the most well-heeled supercar owners can resist the questionable allure of a McDonald’s burger occasionally. In a video posted by Instagram page bernards_exclusives, we see a trio of supercars — a Ferrari LaFerrari, an Aston Martin Valkyrie, and a Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta — waiting in line at a McDonald’s drive-through in the Netherlands. That’s over $12 million in metal, carbon fiber, and leather queuing up for a truly happy meal.
Bernards Exclusives B.V. appears to be a dealer in exotics and supercars, with a social media profile that looks like the “Best of” page of every manufacturer of performance cars you can think of. Just the combined horsepower of this lineup at McDonald’s is probably more than the combined horsepower of a typical Cars and Coffee meet.
Let’s see: the Ferrari LaFerrari and LaFerrari Aperta ring in at 950 horsepower, each. The Aston Martin Valkyrie has a headline of 1,155 horsepower. Put together that’s just a shade over 3,000 horsepower from just three cars. Or the equivalent number of calories if one were to get their burger meal with the works.
The Ferrari LaFerrari was introduced in 2013 and limited to 499 units, each with a price tag of $1.5 million when new. They’re now worth at least $3.5 million in the used market. The LaFerrari Aperta was introduced in 2016 to celebrate Ferrari’s 70th anniversary, at less than half the volume of the coupe. With just 200 units of the Spider having been made, estimates put its price at around $2 million when new — they’re now worth closer to $6 million on the used market.
Lastly, we have the Aston Martin Valkyrie, the F1 car for the road, driven by F1 drivers on the road too. The Valkyrie carried a starting price of $3 million before customization, with some being estimated up to $4.5 million. What’s interesting is that the Valkyrie’s estimated 0-60mph time of 2.2 seconds isn’t all that far away from the LaFerrari’s 2.5 seconds 0-60mph time — there’s an age gap of nearly a decade between them.
Whatever the stats of these supercars are though, one thing’s for certain: the owner’s got a taste of some very, very fast food.
