The powerful Pagani Huayra has been something of a phenomenon on its own. Now, with the advances introduced in the all new BC model, you can expect a whole new threshold of performance metrics. BC stands for Benny Caiola, the first customer for the company’s amazing wheels. The car will continue to sport the Mercedes-AMG-sourced 6-liter twin-turbo V12 engine, which will now deliver 750 horsepower and a torque of 738 pound-feet. There is word that the final horsepower can go up to 789 ponies. The new variant offers a front spoiler, rear wing and diffuser but there is no word on the performance stats as yet. Maybe we have to wait it out till the Geneva Motor Show where it debuts in early March.
A significant improvement in the BC model over the erstwhile Huayra is the weight metric. It weighs nearly 300 pounds lesser than the original model at 2,685 pounds. The major weight cuts were in the new 7-speed automated manual transmission and electronic active differential, which is 40 percent lighter. The HiFrog aeronautic aluminum alloy on the suspension also shaves 25 pounds. In fact, Pirelli contributed with custom P Zero Corsa tires that offer lighter weight with better grip.
Given that the Huayra has been sold out we can expect a generous number of BCs produced.
