A video of a totaled classic Jaguar XK120 has gone viral on social media platforms, which was destroyed in a head-on collision with a sedan whose driver was allegedly distracted by her phone. The footage shows the aftermath of the accident near Salzburg in Austria. Thankfully, the occupants of the Jaguar did not sustain any serious injuries except for some bruises and cuts. However, the classic car appears to be in a very state with its front right side badly damaged.

Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung reports the XK120 was part of the iconic classic car race Mille Miglia’s warm-up event, driven by two Italian nationals, Giuseppe Cerbone and Nicolo Bottini Bongrani. They were on their way from Fuschl to Mittersill when suddenly, an Opel Insignia from the opposite direction crossed over to their side and caused a head-on collision.
A 23-year-old Hungarian woman was behind the wheel of the mid-size sedan. Allegedly, she was looking at her phone when the accident took place. In the video, one of the Italians can be heard accusing the woman of being distracted and causing the accident.
Jaguar XK engine. However, the British automaker had to put it into production after receiving an overwhelming response at the 1948 London Motor Show. Around 12,000 units were built, making the XK120 a rare and desirable classic car. A well-preserved example can easily sell for more than $120,000. The Opel driver’s insurance company might be staring at a massive bill unless they refuse to pay it out.
