Saudi Arabia is building the largest water park in the Middle East. With four record-breaking attractions, including the world’s tallest water slide, it will feature a huge surf pool, a dedicated zone for extreme water sports, and an underwater adventure ride.

Saudi Arabia is getting its first ever water park and it is called Aquarabia. The largest water park in the Middle East, located on the outskirts of Riyadh, in Qiddiya City, guarantees fun at every nook of the massive 250,000 square metres project. No less than 22 rides and attractions, with five record-breakers, and the Kingdom’s first surf pool will enthral tourists and visitors. Aquarabia will also pack in some unforgettable animal experiences across Arabian Peak, Camel Rock, and Herding Grounds. Keeping in sync with the Saudi Arabian spirit to outdo the ordinary, the water park will offer a first of its kind underwater adventure ride featuring fully submersible cars.

The fun under the sun, comes with a sprinkle of competition for those who cannot move without motivation. A sports arena will hold international water sports competitions like surfing, and a racetrack for motorsport enthusiasts. The watersports zone offers an array of activities for those who wish to do more than splash in a pool or scream on rides, from rafting, kayaking, canyoneering, to even free solo climbing and cliff jumping; the fun doesn’t really end, until you leave.

What sets Aquarabia apart from Six Flags Qiddiya, which boasts 28 rides, shops, dining, and entertainment, are the six themed lands; though there are more similarities than differences. But when it comes to fun, the more the merrier, right? Abdullah bin Nasser Aldawood, board member and managing director of QIC, explained: “This announcement marks a significant milestone for Qiddiya City and for the entertainment, tourism, and sports sectors. As we keep expanding our entertainment offering, Aquarabia and Six Flags Qiddiya City will fulfil the diverse entertainment needs of our community, contribute to the diversification of our economy, and create job opportunities in the tourism sector.”
