Saudi Crown Prince MBS has teamed up with renowned Italian designer Stefano Ricci to unveil a spectacular yacht club on the lavish, horseshoe-shaped Sindalah Island.

The day has finally arrived when, instead of mere plans and talks of progress, the actual interiors of a Neom project are being unveiled. Sindalah was always ahead in the race to completion, and the newly revealed interior designs for the yacht club at Neom’s first island destination were showcased on Tuesday. The seahorse-shaped island is set to open later this year, with the Sindalah Yacht Club exciting both the yachting world and globetrotters alike. Designed in collaboration with Stefano Ricci, this marks the Italian designer’s first foray into club interior design.

The club features an expansive terrace pool, lounge, and a fine-dining restaurant helmed by Michelin-star chef Enrico Bartolini, whose restaurants have collectively earned 13 Michelin stars. These stunning spaces will be highlighted by white Carrara marble, punctuated by a vibrant shade called “Sindalah Blue,” paying homage to the azure waters surrounding the island. The ambiance is casual chic, with briar-root wood surfaces, hand-woven textiles, and coffered ceilings. This one-of-a-kind Yacht Club blends the charm of 15th-century Tuscany with Saudi Arabia’s northwest coast.

‘I had the opportunity to visit Sindalah for the first time in 2019, and it was love at first sight,’ shared Stefano’s son, Filippo Ricci, creative director and a key contributor to the waterside masterpiece. ‘I was mesmerized by the intense blue.’ He continued, ‘Our signature walnut became Sindalah Blue, and our Florentine limestone became white marble from Carrara. The result is magical, creating a continuity between the landscape and the Yacht Club itself.’

The venue, completed after five years of development, offers a distinct exclusivity and is poised to become a new hideaway for the world’s elite aboard their superyachts. IGY Marinas will manage the Sindalah Yacht Club, with the Sindalah Marina catering to superyachts up to 590 feet in length, creating a world-class yachting ecosystem with over 5,000 berths.
