With the opening of the incredible Sindalah in Saudi Arabia’s Neom, one could be sure it would be superyacht season all year round. What else could be expected from a magnificent seahorse-shaped island dotted with luxurious hotels, restaurants, a marina, and a top-notch yachting club? The iconic superyacht haven opened its doors on October 25, and unsurprisingly, a string of superyachts in the Red Sea have already begun lining up to witness the charm of Neom’s first completed project. Saudi Crown Prince MBS, who envisioned this picturesque location in the Tabuk Province as the world’s first yachting ecosystem, accomplished his dream or at least part of it.
According to Boat International, there are now a whopping 50 yachts at the mouth of the Red Sea, whereas this time last year, there had been only one lone wolf enjoying the locale. We are certain that next year, even 50 yachts would seem like a minuscule number.
While Sindalah was the first of its kind project launched in Saudi Arabia, the Sindalah Yacht Club also marked Italian designer Stefano Ricci’s first foray into club interior design. Additionally, Saudi music entertainment company MDLBeast delivered an ultra-exclusive beach club that brought musicians, artists, and DJs under one roof, coupled with brilliant audio and visual installations.
The first leg of Saudi Arabia’s national tourism strategy stretches across 840,000 square meters. It impresses with 5,000 berths, three luxury resorts, a spa, 51 luxury shops, 86 piers, 38 restaurants, and even a 6,474-yard, par-70 golf course with a driving range. The high-end hotel collection includes renowned names like Four Seasons and the Luxury Collection by Marriott. The visionary Crown Prince MBS had already hosted a mega bash to mark the historic occasion, inviting influencers and financiers from around the globe.
