Cartier celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Tank Cintrée watch by reissuing the beauty in platinum

It is time to make time for Les Reeditions De Cartier The Tank Cintrée Watch. The sought-after timepieces, Les Rééditions, are eternal products from the Cartier stable celebrating the Maison’s watchmaking and heritage. Limited in number, the Les Rééditions de Cartier was launched in 2021 with the Pasha Calendrier Perpétuel and
the Tank Cintrée in yellow gold. In 2023, the Tank Cintrée makes a comeback as an even rarer and more precious version to mark the 100th anniversary of the Tank Cintrée watch in platinum.

The timepiece is indeed breathtaking in platinum, enhanced by a ruby set in a cabochon on the winding crown. The 6.03 mm case encloses the caliber 9780 MC with manual winding. Rail tracks, Roman numerals, apple-shaped blued hands, and an instantly recognizable eggshell dial complete the watch.

The final touch of elegance on this creation, produced in an edition of 150 numbered pieces, is the contrasting play of finishes on the brancards- polished on the verticals and matte on the horizontals.

The timeless watch from 1917, which appeared in 1921 and established the rectangle in the world of Tank shapes, is more than relevant and practically revered in the world of horology a century later. The Les Reeditions De Cartier The Tank Cintrée Watch is a watch-wearer’s dream that elegantly hugs the wrist and sells for an outrageous $38,500.
