1980 saw the popularity of the Chopard St. Moritz sports watch line soar. Its direct successor, Alpine Eagle Frozen, is a dazzling take on the sporty Alpine Eagle collection. It will freeze your mind with its glistening exterior that’s crafted out of 18-carat white gold. The Alpine Eagle’s 36mm case, bezel, and bracelet are entirely set with diamonds. A whopping 765 diamonds in all, totaling 8.28 carats, are set to cover the timepiece sparing no inch completely. Three generations of the Scheufele family have contributed to making this a statement-making watch that blends Chopard’s fine jewelry making with horology.
As the name suggests, the watch is inspired by the frosty Alps; instead of being snow-clad, it is entirely diamond-laden. There are two choices in metals; an ethical 18ct white or rose gold, in 41mm or 36 mm sizes. There are three choices of bezels as well. Wearers can pick from a monochrome version set with diamonds, blue sapphires, or a vibrant rainbow bezel set with multi-colored sapphires. In the case of the 41 mm size, the Alpine Eagle Frozen offers white diamonds across their cases, lugs, and bracelets; two in white gold, two in rose gold.
The broader model uses the Chopard 01.03-C automatic movement with a 60-hour power reserve, while the smaller alternative flaunts the 9.01-C automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve. Watch Pro shared, “Alpine Eagle Frozen is directly inspired by Alpine glaciers and the way they brilliantly reflect the sunshine. Each diamond used on this timepiece sparkles like a snowflake that has settled on the mountain tops,” said Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, co-president of Chopard. Price will be available on request.
