Hublot is back with another big bang, and it’s roaring, quite literally! The Swiss luxury watchmaker is welcoming the year of the tiger and the commencement of the lunar year in the most glamorous way! The inimitable spirit of the tiger comes alive in the Big Bang Carbon Gold Tiger collection limited to 200 pieces. This timepiece also marks Hublot’s first collection crafted meticulously in frosted Carbon and 18-carat yellow gold. This amalgamation renders the watch with an uncanny appearance of glimmering gold occlusions that are random for each creation akin to tigers stripes.
The 42mm barrel-shaped Hublot features a self-winding skeleton chronograph, has a 50-hour power reserve, and is water-resistant to 100 meters. The majestic cat does not dominate the dial alone; it perambulates onto the striking black rubber strap, elegantly shaped to mimic a tiger’s stripes. The strap is held together by a black-plated titanium deployant buckle clasp. Another option is a yellow gold fabric strap with a Velcro black ceramic buckle if an all-black look isn’t your cup of tea.
Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot CEO, shared, “Hublot loves the Year of the Tiger! People born in the Year of the Tiger are born leaders, courageous and energetic, and never afraid to take risks. This is Hublot! We live by the mantra’ first, unique, different, which is why the challenger spirit of the tiger is so inspiring to us. With its Frosted Carbon and 18-carat yellow-gold case, the Spirit of Big Bang Carbon Gold Tiger is also a technical first for us, a daring expression of an iconic form designed for today’s boldest leaders. Each watch is as unique as its owner. Go get ’em, tiger!” Big Bang Carbon Gold Tiger limited edition will be available worldwide for $35,700.
