Johnnie Walker has just released the fifth and final edition of its John Walker & Sons Private Collection. Exclusively created, with just 3,888 bottles released, the collection will be up for sale in select locations this month onwards, selling at a retail price of $750.
the uniqueness of this blend is that it has been aged for 28 years – which makes it rare and special according to Johnnie Walker master blender Jim Beveridge, who worked with Craig Wallace to create this composition with an abv of 42.8%. the creation of this magic potion includes liquid sourced from the brand’s distilleries in Strathmill in Speyside and Caol Ila on Islay in Scotland.
The five-year special edition began with A Unique Smoky Blend in 2014, with Rare Fruit Character the following year, Fine Honeyed Notes in 2016 and Mastery of Oaks last year. The brand also debuted, last month, its 50-year old whiskey, part of its Master’s Edition.
