Bentley’s bespoke studio Mulliner will stop at nothing to give customers automotive experiences that broaden their horizons. At least, that’s what Mulliner has set out to do with a new lineup of Bentley Bentaygas inspired by Bentley’s Extraordinary Journeys curated road trips to New Mexico, Scandinavia, China, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
This is reflected in the details, materials, colors and finishes used in the personalization of the Bentley Bentayga Azure, the extended wheelbase version of the ultra-luxury SUV. The goal is to inspire Bentley customers to personalize their own Bentleys from their own experiences, be it travel or otherwise.
The destinations outlined are represented, for example, in the topographical embroidery in the cushions that hark back to the destination. The New Mexico Bentayga is meant to evoke ruggedness and ancient history, and is finished in warm, earthy tones.
The Scandinavia Bentayga, on the other hand, is finished in Portofino Blue paint with white combination interiors to reflect the natural beauty of the country. Of course, the UK Bentayga has ties back to Bentley’s own racing history (and that of the Bentley Boys) in the choice of color, being finished in a satin Alpine Green paint, with an interior largely finished in British Racing Green.
The Bentayga Azure is available with a choice of 4.0-liter V8 or a 3.0-liter V6 hybrid. This lineup from Mulliner does beg the question though: what of the customer who’s obsessed with the cherry blossoms of Japan? Maybe an all-pink Bentayga, with white detailing in an otherwise pink interior? Well, as the Mulliner department would like to point out, the sky really is the limit here.
