The HYT H2 Tradition watch blends the past and the future with a liquid dial

Now that SIHH 2016 is around, it’s raining timepieces again. One of the many brands unveiling a new wristwatch is Swiss HYT with the limited edition HYT H2 Tradition. The watch is as modern as it gets, with a slightly retro twist to it. Sporting a one-of-a-kind “liquid indicator” that gives it a modern edge, the watch keeps it traditional with the blued hands, guilloche finishes and lacquered dials. Quoting Vincent Perriard, CEO of HYT, “Fluid innovation is, and will remain, in our DNA, but this doesn’t prevent us from playing around with the codes of traditional watch making. Fun, experimentation, the joy of surprise: after all, that’s what we do best!”

The watch comes with a polished microblasted case satin-finished in white gold and titanium. The HYT H2 Tradition uses a mechanical movement with manual winding with 28 jewels and a 192-hour (8-day) power reserve. The watch uses a lacquered varnished hour dial with 4N treatment and black Roman numerals. To keep this watch firmly attached to your wrist, HYT has included an extremely eye-catching patent blue alligator and titanium deployant buckle that match the blue accents on the watch’s dial and the blue liquid indicator. HYT H2 Tradition will come with a price tag of $189,000.
