Part of the newly unveiled “La Quête” series, it is conceived as a poetic journey through the cosmos, inspired by the philosophical brilliance of Copernicus and his heliocentric model that forever changed our understanding of the universe. Crafted in 18K white gold, the 47-millimeter double-sided case gleams with an otherworldly radiance. The front dial, in a mesmerizing blue hand-guilloché pattern, presents a tourbillon at six o’clock, a perpetual calendar, a power reserve indicator, and the equation of time, alongside sunrise and sunset times for a reference city. The inclusion of a minute repeater regulated by a centrifugal governor ensures a crystal-clear chime that adds an acoustic poetry to its mechanical heart.
The reverse side transforms the watch into a window to the heavens. Here, sidereal time governs the display, with a rotating disc depicting constellations visible from the Northern Hemisphere. Around its perimeter are indications for solstices, equinoxes, zodiac signs, and the seasons, along with a moon-phase indicator that reveals the age of the moon in days.
