Elizabeth Taylor’s designer clothes to be auctioned by Christies New York

It’s sad to see such a glorious lady like Elizabeth Taylor in a grave. However, like her close friend MJ, her memorabilia that features many custom fashion items will go under the hammer at Christie’s New York. The auction will put 68 items on sale, including a Versace beaded evening jacket featuring portraits of the actress estimated at $20,000 and an Irene Sharaff designed sunflower yellow dress estimated between $40,000 and $60,000.

When Taylor, 79, passed away, her estate was valued at $1 billion. A part of the proceeds earned at the exhibitions, events, and publications related to the auction will benefit The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, founded by the actress in 1991.
