The first known and popular video game home console, the Atari 2600, seems to have no love lost in the gaming community, as 35 years after it is officially released, it still sells like hotcakes! So when a copy of Air Raid came under the hammer, it sold for an impressive $33,433.30 at auction. It surpasses the most expensive Atari 2600 game ever sold, a record held by the same game, which fetched $31,600 in April 2010. Of the two copies sold, this one gets the edge of being sold in its original box and a copy of the instruction manual.
