Prada is jumping into the beauty bandwagon with a skincare and cosmetics range

It’s a day to feel beautiful, and if you don’t, Prada Beauty cosmetics and skincare will do the needful. Christian Dior did it, and so did Chanel; it was only a matter of time and prayers were answered to have Miuccia Prada descend on the world of beauty. With this new line, you will see products like luscious lipsticks, eyeshadows, and a foundation that will make you want to eat your face, in a good way, of course. The skincare department debuts with four skincare formulas. Prada Beauty makes the fashionistas salivate with an extensive range of Reveal Skin Optimising Foundation, six Dimension eyeshadow palettes, and 26 hyper-matte Prada Monochrome lipsticks.

The brand’s global creative make-up artist, Lynsey Alexander, takes pride in bringing a touch of eccentricity to a sophisticated complexion, “I went deep into the archives for inspiration because I had the most incredible access to all these prints,” shared Alexander. “All the leathers and nylon textures – the back catalog is never ending.” The lipsticks retail for $49, offering 26 dreamy matte shades in refillable chunky silver and gold packaging. We love how the bullet is shaped as a triangle, instantly forming a cosmetic connection with the Prada logo.

Per Vogue, the texture of the lipstick recalls the brand’s Saffiano leather. It results from Lynsey Alexander diving deep into the Italian fashion house’s rich archive of 27,000 textiles and patterns. The foundation is offered in no less than 33 shades flaunting a lightweight, glowy base. “The whole idea is about enhancing, celebrating, and empowering rather than masking and covering,” explained Alexander. “Revealing your true beauty. It mimics the skin, doesn’t feel too heavy and can be built up for more coverage.”
