If no one aces business in Asia like its richest tycoon Mukesh Ambani worth $112 billion, then no one aces jaw-dropping style and mind-boggling jewelry than his better half, philanthropist and founder of NMACC, Nita Ambani. The chairman of Reliance Foundation became a head-turner at the pre-wedding festivities of her youngest child, watch connoisseur Anant Ambani owing to her unmatched grace and gorgeous jewelry. The 60-year-old mother of the soon-to-be-groom flaunted a $7.5 million necklace bearing not one but two rare Colombian emeralds measuring 560 and 303 carats, per jewelry entrepreneur Anvar Gold.

The dazzling deep-green duo was auctioned at Christie’s in 2020 as part of their Magnificent Jewels sale for $870,000. The stunning gems have not been subjected to any refinement, a rarity for emeralds, and one assured by the American GIA. The stones have been embedded into the marvelous masterpiece in their natural state and made even more exquisite owing to the genius of Indian jeweler Kantilal Chhotalal.

The celebrated jewelry house has been behind some very striking gems and jewelry adorned by the modern age Indian royalty for over five decades. It is no surprise that the Reliance matriarch, Nita, chose to entrust the brand with her precious emeralds that certainly grabbed the attention they deserved at Jamnagar where the events took place.

In fact, Ambani especially commissioned the necklace for the pre-wedding festivities. The breathtaking ornament took a total of 5 people and 3 years to craft the $7.5 million necklace to perfection for the owner of Mumbai Indians, a professional franchise cricket team in the Indian Premier League. The skilled artisans worked tirelessly to deliver the regal necklace a month before the event. Not only is the piece of jewelry incredibly beautiful, it was worn on an occasion that wasn’t even the main wedding. Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are due to tie the knot in July 2024, and one can only anticipate the splendiferous display of gems coming our way. Along with haute jewelry enthusiasts, watch fans will also keep a close eye on the wedding and will be keen to know which watch Anant Ambani wears after the $4.5 million Richard Mille that enamored Mark Zuckerberg and his wife.

The chairperson and founder of the Dhirubhai Ambani International School teamed the grand creation starring two massive and magnificent emeralds with an equally mesmerizing $6.5 million flawless diamond ring. The diamond, weighing a whopping 52.58 carats, was mined during the Mughal era. The piece, called the Mirror of Paradise, was auctioned at Christie’s auction in 2019 as part of the Maharaja and Mughals auction. Completing her look at the function with the intricate necklace and enormous diamond ring were stacks of solitaire bangles, at least 12 of them, divided by a broad cocktail bracelet also studded with diamonds and tiny emeralds. It would be safe to say, the wife of Asia’s richest man indeed looked the part wearing jewels worth at least $20 million for a party!
