Be it his superyacht or private jet, Jeff Bezos always travels in style. Here’s a rare look inside the Amazon founder’s Gulfstream G650ER jet: on sale for $38 million, the plush cabin features three-seater divans, a credenza for luxury dining, and a conference room.

A private jet owned by Jeff Bezos is up for sale with an asking price of about $39 million. The multi-million-dollar aircraft, a Gulfstream 650ER, has been listed for sale on the aviation marketplace Controller, which aviation hobbyist Jack Sweeney first spotted. He’s the person who became famous for creating Twitter bots to track the private jets of Russian oligarchs and other prominent individuals, including Elon Musk.

The aircraft with the registration number N271DV is almost a decade old and is the oldest jet in Bezos’ fleet. A brand new Gulfstream 650ER has a starting price of $65 million, which can quickly go beyond $70 million depending on the level of customization and equipment added to the jet.

According to data from the Federal Aviation Administration, the business jet is registered with a holding company named Poplar Glen LLC. A report by Business Insider states that Bezos owns the company, and one of his attorneys, Paul Dauber, has been listed as the firm’s governor in the official records.

Thanks to its long range and high speed, the G650ER has been a popular choice for the world’s richest people, which includes the likes of Elon Musk and Bill Gates. With a range of around 7,500 nautical miles (around 8630 miles), the jet can fly non-stop from locations like Seattle to Dubai or New York to Hong Kong.

Thanks to the listing, we finally have information on the cabin configuration and the amenities inside Bezos’ jet. In fact, this is the first time that pictures of the aircraft’s interior have been published online. While a 650ER has space for up to 18 passengers, Bezos’ jet can accommodate 14 people inside the cabin.

Finished in beige and brown, the cabin is split into three sections. The forward cabin features four single club seats, while the middle section doubles as a conference room. The aft cabin has a pair of three-seater divans upholstered in a brown fabric. All the single club seats are equipped with 12.1-inch HD personal monitors, while the credenza in the mid cabin is integrated with a 26-inch display.

The Amazon founder’s fleet currently has four aircraft, which include a Pilatus PC-24 and the newly acquired Gulfstream G700, which Bezos bought in August for $80 million. There’s no information on why he’s selling the 650ER. However, the addition of the new G700 to the fleet and the fact that the 650ER is the oldest jet owned by Bezos can be the main reasons.

The data from the flight tracking website JetSpy shows the for-sale jet flew 224 hours across 73 flights in 2024, emitting about 1,100 tons of carbon. His entire fleet has logged a flight time of 850 hours across 334 flights this year, causing an estimated carbon emission of around 3,600 tons. While Bezos has pledged $10 billion through his Bezos Earth Fund to fight climate change, he is often criticized by climate activists for the environmental damage done by his private jets.
