Keeping up with the billionaires: Kim Kardashian West joins the ultra exclusive club as her cosmetics line is valued at $1 billion

It’s becoming incredibly difficult to keep up with the Kardashians who seem to be in some money-making race in order to become the billionaire Kar-Jenner clan! It started with the youngest of the lot, the very voluptuous Kylie Jenner who acquired the title of the world’s youngest billionaire by Forbes not once but twice. Then Kanye West made it his obsession to be termed a billionaire ‘officially’ by Forbes but it wasn’t without some very public tussles. Speaking of tussles with Forbes, Kylie Jenner recently had quite the public spat with them over accusations that she forged documents in order to increase her net worth. But things aren’t dissident in the case of Kim Kardashian West (who in my opinion should’ve been the first billionaire, all things considered) who has finally the newest billionaire in the family. The media mogul behind distinguished brands like KKW Beauty, KKW fragrance and Skims shapewear sold a stake in her beauty brand to Coty for $200 million, in a deal that values the TV reality star’s three-year-old business at $1 billion. It seems like a stellar deal for the reality star/business mogul as she retains creative control of the company while benefiting from the incredible resources of Coty. Kim founded KKW Beauty in 2017 and tapped into her hundreds of millions of social media followers to sell lip gloss, body foundation, and perfume. With Coty on board, the partnership can cater to more countries around the world and possibly dive into other categories, like skin creams and shampoos.

No one was happier for Kim Kardashian West than her billionaire husband Kanye West who took to Twitter to express his immense pride and happiness. He wrote, “I am so proud of my beautiful wife Kim Kardashian West for officially becoming a billionaire. You’ve weathered the craziest storms and now God is shining on you and our family. So blessed this is still life. So I made you this still life. We love you so much.”
