Michael Jordan’s newest toy is a $70 million Gulfstream G650ER business jet, with a slick $500,000 black and gray paint job, and it could even include a luxurious cigar lounge.

Michael Jordan, widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, has a luxury lifestyle befitting his status and wealth. Enjoying his retirement in utmost luxury, Jordan has added a new toy to his collection – a brand new Gulfstream business jet worth a whopping $70 million. The aircraft’s custom paint job alone is believed to cost $500,000, which is absolutely crazy! But the eye-watering price tag hardly matters when you’re the richest former professional athlete in the world. Thanks to massive sponsorship deals with leading American brands such as Nike, the NBA Hall of Famer’s current net worth is estimated to be around $3.5 billion.

The aircraft acquired by the legendary basketball superstar is a Gulfstream G650ER, the extended-range version of the G650 jet. The long-range, ultra-luxury aircraft is one of the most prestigious and capable jets in the world, designed for both comfort and performance. With an impressive maximum range of 7,500 nautical miles (~8630 miles) at Mach 0.85, the G650ER it one of the longest-range business jets available. It can fly non-stop from cities like New York to Hong Kong or Los Angeles to Sydney. It’s owners list includes American entrepreneurs like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Sergey Brin, and Larry Page.

What makes Michael Jordan’s G650ER truly special is its custom exterior paint and its attention-grabbing registration number. While the tail is adorned with his iconic Jumpman logo, the rest of the aircraft’s body is finished in a black and grey elephant print, as seen on Air Jordan sneakers.

In fact, the basketball legend loves the elephant skin pattern. Not only is his $8 million custom 84-foot Viking wrapped in a lighter version of the elephant pattern, but his previous private jet, a Gulfstream G550, also features the unique finish. Furthermore, Jordan has retained the registration number of his G550 for the new business jet. The N236MJ tail number combines his jersey number during his playing career and his initials MJ.

The G650ER features one of the largest cabins in its class, providing ample space for up to 19 passengers. There’s no information on the level of customization done to the cabin of Jordon’s jet. However, it reportedly features a cigar station just like his previous jet, which is hardly surprising considering he loves smoking Cuban cigars.

In addition to owning several lavish properties, Jordan has a collection of high-end cars, including models from Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin, and Lamborghini.
