Alexander Wang and Samsung combine forces to design the Wallie drawstring bag

The much-awaited Samsung-Wang creation is finally out now! The wonderful ‘Wallie’ crafted in collaboration by the NYC fashion force Alexander Wang and South-Korean global giant Samsung is a drawstring bag designed in lambskin. It marries an east-meets-west philosophy with the collective inspiration of a select group of Samsung smartphone users. Wang combined images (photos, doodles, patterns) created by a group of his close friends, stylists, photographers, and others using Samsung’s Galaxy Note II smartphones, “the abstract print really captures the energy of New York City.” The print’s production is a result of experimenting with crowdsourcing designs. “This collaboration is a great example of how technology and style can come together in an unexpected but really meaningful way,” elucidates he.

The stylish sac channels reinforced leather corners, a black and gray print on the fabric’s finish, and a sum of $550. It is available in select locations from this month, and sale proceeds will go towards the Art Start charity, which funds art programs for children and young people. So, you can channel that inner fashionista-meets-gadget-freak now, albeit with a dose of charitable luxury.
