Bright hues, pop culture and sensual lines make the new Serpenti Collaboration, Ambush X Bvlgari a winner

People look forward to special moments, some anticipate promotions, and some count the days until their next holiday. I, on the other hand, wait with excitement for the next iteration of the iconic Bvlgari Serpenti Forever Bag? After Alexander Wang’s versatile version of the Serpenti Forever Bag. I am eager to share details of the newest collaboration which is stemming from the land of the rising sun, Japan. Serpenti Through The Eyes Of is a limited-edition collection of handbags and accessories designed by the leading designers of their generation and this time the reinterpretation hat is worn by the creative director of Ambush, Yoon Ahn; The Tokyo-based designer brings neon vibrancy and a contemporary edge to the Ambush x Bvlgari collection. The designer has lent this collection a completely changed and unique approach keeping the Bvlgari Serpenti its star but reinventing the silhouettes and hues to a level where it doesn’t remind you of any of the past versions, almost making this look like an entirely new line. She has unabashedly used striking bold colors and balanced them with soft shapes. You will also spot a touch of pop-culture-inspired aesthetic. The collection comprises three bags, a coin case, credit card holders, and the iconic Serpenti bracelet.

The designer has represented the snake beautifully by incorporating the sensual lines of the snake in every design; the bags have been padded to mimic the fluidity of their bodies. The snake’s head acts as the closure of the bag and comes complete with reptilian eyes in mother-of-pearl or black onyx. And finally the interwoven metallic chains remind you of a slithering snake’s body. The new Serpenti Collaboration with Ambush campaign is fronted by none other than Bella Hadid. Bags are available to pre-order from 11 August and will be in store from 3 September.
