Bugatti has lifted the veil off of its newest offering which has been created in collaboration with sportswear giant Adidas, and it’s not a limited edition hypercar worth several million dollars. Several days after releasing a teaser video on Instagram, Bugatti and Adidas have finally revealed their first-ever co-branded product – an ultra-exclusive pair of soccer boots. Yes, you read the right! Called the Adidas X Crazyfast Bugatti, the limited edition soccer boots are based on the standard X Crazyfast model by Adidas.
However, they feature plenty of aesthetic and functional updates to deserve the Bugatti branding. According to the official release, the Bugatti boots are “not only engineered for speed but created with a ‘Form Follows Performance’ design philosophy for the ultimate in ability.”
The highlight of the limited edition boots is Adidas’s innovative Speedframe sole plate technology, which not only provides an ultra-light structure but also gives the boots a rigid plate for rapid acceleration. The boots also get specially engineered Aerocage, which is basically a lining that hugs the mid-foot, providing stability and support. Furthermore, the Bugatti boots feature Aeropacity Speedskin, which is a single-layer breathable monomesh that helps to provide both speed and stability.
Inspired by Bugatti’s highly complex hypercars, the co-branded soccer boots feature carbon fiber inlay to replicate the lightweight material used in the French automaker’s cars. In addition to that, the boots are blue in color as a tribute to Bugatti’s early Grand Prix race cars. The side of the boot is adorned by two phrases – “Impossible is Nothing” and “Create the Incomparable” – that are synonymous with the brand and its philosophies.
Finally, the box housing the limited edition boots is also unique. The exterior design is inspired by the carbon fiber used in Bugatti hypercars, mirroring the intricate weaves. Only 99 pairs of the Adidas X Crazyfast Bugatti will be made. However, all of them will be auctioned through the Adidas Collect Web 3 platform, which will run from 8-11 November.
