Givenchy has delved into deep waters for the inspiration behind their latest handbag. Called “The Shark” this new offering is a rectangular, sharply structured bag with an oversized cover flap just to keep things interesting. The top handle bag also boasts a metallic clasp shaped like a shark tooth
The shark emerged as a key symbol in Givenchy designs in 2012, since then shark and shark tooth inspired details have been spotted in several of the house’s products. The shark bag will be available in three sizes and an assortment of colors and finishes including brown studded leather and nude suede.
Our favorite is definitely the black and white version. Crafted in intense black leather, the bag boasts a graphic and modernist appeal thanks to the contrasting white stripe on the cover flap. The Shark bag will come with a shoulder strap too.
As of now there’s no word on the estimated price of the new “It” bag.
