Seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton has been named as the brand ambassador for men’s fashion by Dior. The British racing driver has also guest-designed a lifestyle collection with the French fashion house’s creative director, Kim Jones. “Working with Kim and the talented team at Dior has been a dream, and I was honored when Kim asked if I’d like to do this with him,” Hamilton said in a statement. “Our values and ideas are aligned, making it easy to bring to life a creative collection infused with our shared experiences.”
Beyond his success on the racetrack, Lewis Hamilton is known for his distinctive and influential fashion sense. The 39-year-old has made a significant mark in fashion, becoming a style icon known for his bold and unique choices. Over the years, he has collaborated with numerous high-profile designers and brands, which includes a clothing line launched in collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger in 2018. Hamilton’s partnership with Dior marks the beginning of a new chapter in his contributions to the fashion world.
According to Dior, the new capsule guest designed by Hamilton is inspired by his “powerful, exhilarating universe” and pays homage to his African heritage. “Focusing on conscious choices and pushing boundaries with each piece, while merging inspiration from my roots in Africa—drawing from their fabrics and belief in natural materials, as well as vibrant colors and powerful energy—has been so inspiring,” The British racer added. Designed for the winter season, the collection features a selection of pattern-centric sweaters, snow jackets, and accessories, including Dior-branded snowboards. Lewis Hamilton’s guest-designed Dior lifestyle capsule will be available in boutiques and online starting on October 17.
