Ray-Ban unveils 24k gold-plated aviators for a whopping $500

Ray-Bans are a sunglass staple across the globe and there is no denying it. But while many of us proudly own a pair of its classic wayfarers, the marquee’s latest edition is clearly not one for all. In outdoing its usual designs by a far-fetched leap, the brand has recently unveiled a pair of gold-dipped sunglasses that cost a whopping $518 each.

The 80’s inspired Golder Winged Ray Bans is a beloved classic and is sure to be the stunner on the wearer’s eyes. The pair comes with 24-karat gold-plated lenses, a gold-plated flat bridge and temples, and a super-lightweight body to hold all that gleam. For being priced at $518, the new RB wings certainly make for an outrageously exorbitant buy, but for all the shine and oomph, it’s probably worth owing one anyway!

The luxe Ray Bans also come with their own official ‘Run for Gold’ trailer that shows the prodigy losing all his belonging to a gambler, while smartly managing to escape before doing away with his Winged gold glasses. The glitzy Ray Bans are limited to only 500 pairs and its worth booking them really quick, to avoid a stock run out!
