Selfridges has opened a corner shop that sells designers items instead of essentials

Selfridges is mid-way with it’s multi-million dollar accessories hall refurbishment. While the re-development christened with boutiques for Balenciaga, Burberry, Chanel, Celine, Chloe, Chrome Hearts, Gucci, Loewe, Mulberry and Saint Laurent in November last year, the next phase of the exclusive revamp is slated to be even more exciting that the latter! A new stage of that accessories hall makeover that was unveiled recently comes with a unique LV concept store and a ‘Corner Shop’ unlike any other!

The new one-stop Selfridges wonder now includes stores for a fleet of luxury labels including Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Fendi and other smaller labels that the retailer sells. It also graces a special Vuitton store that doubles as a concept space for regular changes as well as a Dior shop that promises to sell exclusive items that can only be bought out of the said outlet. However, what’s unique about phase two of the new-found accessories hall is a ‘Corner Shop’ that is not anything like the name suggests! Sitting on the conjunction of Duke and Oxford street, the Corner Shop sells a over 450 designer items along with a regular fleet of basic goods.

At the exciting luxury kiosk that opened last week, one can find items such as a £1,325 Chloé Nile Bag, a Selfridges Monopoly for £65.00, a Carters of Suffolk English Gentleman Tea Pot costing £45.00 and a Lucy Sparrow Oyster Card for £30, amongst others. Can’t wait for the complete makeover of the Selfridges accessories hall next year!
